the above board members was
instrumental in Ann not being
given the po ition, the Con
cerned Citizens group decided
to pursu the matter by means
of a recall; and ince only waugh
and Robinson wer eligible for
immediate recall, the group
decid d to pr eed ith them
and to fo u on Hill and
Washington at the appropriate
time.
Ann, who, during thi tur
bulent period, w the acting
director of community educa
tion, had quit her job a re-
ource teacher at Edge ood
School to accept the director's
position. However, when her
"ppointment as rejected, he
resumed her teaching career
and initiated a la uit against
the school district and the four
oppo ing board members.

all teacher for each of the three
ears of the contract. Super

with a bachelor's degree and no

year; from 18,796 to 33,749
the second year and from
20 112 to 36,111 the third
year.
Other changes in the con
tract include a SOO-a-year raise
for teacher who have completed
five years of teaching and the
reduction of the number of
steps necessary to reach the top
salary ranges in all categorie .
The contract will take effect
July 1, 1986 andexpire June
30,1989.

Judge Hammond was elected

dvisor to the ational Judicial
College in 1981 and is a diplo

Judge Hammond has been
