99, of Southfield,
died March 21,
2024.
She is survived
by her daughter
and son-in-law, Robin and
Robert Gershman; daughter
and daughter-in-law,
Melissa Ross and Michelle
Shartran; son, Jonathan
Ross; grandchildren, Lauren
Gershman, Julie Gershman
and Azriel Gilmore, and
Juliet Flam-Ross and
Tristan Marquise. She is
also survived by her loving
caregivers, Tauheedah Harris
and Lisa Young.
Mrs. Ross was the beloved
wife of the late Dr. Oscar C.
Ross; the loving sister of the
late Jerry Trager; the devoted
daughter of the late Betty
Trager.
Interment was at
Beth El Memorial Park.

died March 24,
2024.
He is survived
by his beloved wife, Mary
Silverman; children, Dr.

Mark (Cheryl) Silverman,
Laurie (Dr. Jeffrey) Leflein;
grandchildren, Erica
Silverman, Joey (Lauren)
Abrin, Sara Abrin, Rebecca
Abrin, Samantha Silverman,
Laya Silverman, Ben
Silverman, Jacob (Hannah)
Leflein, Elana Leflein,
Shoshana Leflein and Ari
Leflein. He was the adoring
zayda of Ezra and Zev Abrin.
He is also survived by many
loving nieces, nephews, other
family members and friends.
Allan was the dear
son of the late Louis and
the late Lena Silverman;
brother of the late Sidney
Silverman, the late Morley
Silverman and the late Benny
Silverman.
Interment was held at
Machpelah Cemetery in
Ferndale. Contributions may
be made to a charity of one’s

RITA SHIRLEY
SKLAR of
Detroit and Palm
Desert, Calif.,
passed away of
natural causes
March 4, 2024. She was born
in Detroit in 1929 to Martha
and Harry Abraham.
Rita married Jack Sklar.
They moved to the west
side and raised their two
children, Alan and Iris. Rita
was widowed at a young age.
