West Bloomfield,
died Dec. 26,
2023.
He is survived
by his children, Marla
(Joshua) Linderman-Richelew,
Jason (Christine) Pikstein and
Adam Mitchel; grandchildren,
Zenah (Jonathan) Skidmore,
Yakirah Mitchel, Naomi
Richelew, Joshua Linderman,
Avivah Mitchel and Jonathan
Pikstein; many other loving
family members and friends.
Daniel was the beloved
husband of the late Ronnie
Pikstein.
Interment was held at
Adat Shalom Memorial
Park Cemetery in Livonia.
Contributions may be

made to the Leukemia and
Lymphoma Society or to
Jewish Federation of Detroit.
Arrangements by Dorfman
Chapel.

RITA RUTH
SCHREIBER , 81,
of Southfield, died
Dec. 12, 2023.
Born Rita
Stusser in Seattle,
Wash., she and her beloved
husband of 56 years, Dr. Bert
Schreiber, moved to Detroit
in 1968. They were lifelong
patrons of the DSO and the
arts, as well as extensive world
travelers throughout their
lives together.
A gifted writer and editor,
Mrs. Schreiber worked for
many years as a magazine

editor and volunteered
her skills and time to local
organizations. including
Farber Hebrew Day School,
Young Israel of Southfield and
others.
She is survived by her
children and their spouses,
Dr. Shani and Rabbi Yosef
Bechhofer of Monsey, N.Y.,
Debbie and Carmi Shapiro of
Moshav Matityahu, Israel, Avy
and Jessica Schreiber of Oak
Park, and Dr. Elli and Ari Fox
of Brooklyn, N.Y. She is also
survived by 18 grandchildren,
many nieces and nephews,
grandchildren-in-law and
great-grandchildren.
Interment was at Eretz
HaChaim cemetery in
Beit Shemesh, Israel.
