rants, and helped to develop
and open both the Wildest
Greens and Tenth T restaurants
in Palm Springs.
His excellent food and engag-
ing personality won many
dedicated customers. Jeffrey
was passionate, caring, intelli-
gent and witty, a lover of dogs
(especially his beloved Bebe and
Sophie), time with family, fish-
ing in Alaska with his Grandpa
Morris, summers in Tawas and
at Camp Tamakwa in Canada,
and Pacific Ocean beaches.
Jeffrey’s holiday meals were
legend.
He leaves behind his mother,
Dr. Elaine Cooper; brothers,
Dr. Jonathan Cooper (Julie)
and Michael Hart (Sanda);
stepmother, Mary Cooper; aunt,
Doreen Braverman and uncle,
Stuart Rudnick with whom he
had a special bond; aunt, Edie
Pernick; nephews, David, Gabe
and Noah Cooper to whom he
will always be “Uncle Uncle;”
Karen Thornton; many loving
step-siblings, nieces, nephews
and cousins.
Jeffrey was predeceased by his
father, Morley Cooper; grand-
parents, Dr. Morris and Sally
Braverman, and Jack and Ann
Cooper; and sister-in-law. Dr.
Bonnie Thornton.
The family will hold celebra-
tions of Jeffrey’s life in Tawas,
Mich., and Los Angeles in the
future. Donations in Jeffrey’s
memory may be made to AIDS
Project LA (aplahealth.org);
the Lansing-based pet rescue,
Capitol Area Humane Society
(cahs-lansing.org); or to a chari-
ty of your choice. Jeffrey’s mem-
ory is a blessing to all who knew
and loved him. He is deeply
missed.
