Friday night Shabbat was
recently held at Bowers
Farm in Bloomfield Hills
for the people served by
JARC. More than 120
people JARC serves, JARC
staff and some JARC board
members joined together
to enjoy a delicious
cookout that included
food, lawn games, music
and more.
The JARC event was
sponsored by the Ethel
Hyman and Rose Kaplan
Foundation.
Kosher hot dogs, ham-
burgers, watermelon,
salads and cookies helped
to make the cookout a
fun event for all. The
people JARC serves were
all smiles as they joined
their friends and played
cornhole, croquet and ring
toss with each other.
Jack Kaufman, trustee of
the Ethel Hyman and Rose
Kaplan Foundation, said,
“The Ethel Hyman and
Rose Kaplan Foundation
supports the Annual JARC
Community Shabbat
Cookout because it simply
brings joy to the people
JARC serves.”
