OBITUARIES
OF BLESSED MEMORY

DR. RONALD
LAWRENCE
BIGMAN, 84, of
Lake Worth, Fla.,
died on July 26,
2023.
His sense of humor, love
and generosity will be lovingly
remembered by his wife of 61
years, Carol; children, Amy
Bigman (Stefan Gleibermann),
Jill (David) Kindy, and Kevin
(Debra Goldberg) Bigman. He
was the loving Papa of Drew
(Emma) Kindy, Lauren Kindy,
and Jack Bigman. He will be
remembered with love by
cousins, nieces, nephews and
friends.
Dr. Bigman was predeceased
by his son, Craig; his parents,
Louis and Anne Bigman; his
sister and brother-in-law,

Marilyn and Isadore Balan; his
brothers-in-law and sisters-in-
law, Jerry and Marlene Shiovitz,
and Jack and Zelda Shay.
Interment was in Florida.
Contributions in his
memory may be made to
the Alzheimer’s Association,
a Parkinson’s organization,
Congregation Shaarey Zedek
of East Lansing or a charity of
your choice.

DAVIDA COHEN, 81, of Oak
Park and West Palm Beach,
Fla., died July 22, 2023.
She is survived by her
husband, Irwin Cohen;
son-in-law, Rabbi Yisroel
Goldfein of Oak Park; brother,
Joel Greenberg; many loving
grandchildren and great-
grandchildren.

Davida was the loving
mother of the late Chanie
Goldfein.
Contributions may be made
to Yeshiva Beth Yehudah,
P.O. Box 2044, Southfield, MI
48037; or Hebrew Benevolent
Society, 26640 Greenfield Road,
Oak Park, MI 48237. A funeral
service was held at Hebrew
Memorial Chapel. Interment
took place at Hebrew Memorial
Park. Arrangements by Hebrew
Memorial Chapel.

STANLEY M.
COHEN, 88, of
Tucson, Ariz.,
formerly of
Detroit, died July
24, 2023.
He was the beloved husband
of Davya (Slootsky) Cohen for

almost 45 years.
Stan’s career in commercial
property development and
management started with
Schostak Brothers in Southfield
and culminated in serving
as the chief operating officer
of Standard Construction in
Bloomfield Hills. Throughout
his career, he was known
and respected for his
ethics, kindness, generosity,
mentorship and exceptional
leadership. He retired in 2005.
Stan was happiest when
spending time with family and
dear friends, especially over
a wonderful meal. His varied
interests included fly fishing,
collecting knives, playing cards
at the casino, reading and
cruising in his sports car.
Stan is survived by his wife,
