MORTON L.
TOBIN, 94, of
Boca Raton, Fla.,
formerly of
Michigan, died
Jan. 24, 2023.
As a loving husband, dad,
papa, great-grandpapa, uncle,
brother and true friend, there
is no replacing “Morty” as he
was lovingly called by friends,
family, and customers. He was
in a word, a mensch.
Mr. Tobin was a kind and
special soul that was loved by
those who were lucky enough
to know him. It was said that
he was an angel among men.
He married his high school
sweetheart and love of his life,
Diana Berzaner; and they built
a beautiful home together
based on traditional Jewish
values of love, kindness, charity
and community involvement.
Morton was very generous
to a long list of charities and
was very private about those
donations, not looking for
recognition of any sort.
Morton Tobin taught by
example and had a tremendous
work ethic. He was co-owner
of United Auto Parts with his
brother Harold, had fruit and
vegetable stands at the Ferry-
Chene Market and later at
the Eastern Market with his
beloved wife and was partners
with his son Aaron at Global
Remanufacturing.
In his personal life, he
taught selflessness and
showed everyone how to love
and care for others. Morty
was a longtime member of
Congregation Shaarey Zedek
in Southfield and was an active
member and board member of
Temple Beth Israel of Deerfield
Beach, Florida.
He is survived by his
sons, Aubrey Tobin of West
Bloomfield, Aaron Tobin
of Oak Park; daughters
and sons-in-law, Sandra
and Paul Marx of Laguna
Beach, Calif., Amy and Allen
Olender of West Bloomfield,
Bonnie and Zoel Silverman
of Boca Raton; brother and
sister-in-law, Marshall and
Rhoda Tobin; sister, Florence
Nitzkin; grandchildren,
Teddie and Adam Eisenberg,
Max Olender, Julie and
Matan Arnon, Melanie
Silverman, Ilyse Silverman;
great-grandchildren, Dillan
Eisenberg, Maya Dina Arnon;
many other loving family
members and friends.
Mr. Tobin was the beloved
husband of the late Diana
Tobin; dear brother and
brother-in-law of the late
Harold and the late Ruth
Tobin, the late Al and the late
Virginia Tobin, the late Donald
Nitzkin.
