Mr. Kuperstein was the beloved
husband of the late Lucy; the son
of the late Berta and the late Boris
Kuperstein.
Interment took place at Adat
Shalom Memorial Park Cemetery in

Allison.
Mrs. Pessin was the wife of the late
Dr. Louis S. Pessin.

caregiver and friend, Bernita Brown;

Mrs. Rosen was the beloved wife
of the late Albert Rosen and the late
Samuel Mickelson; the aunt of the late
Marvin Dubin; sister of the late Ted
(the late Sybil) Goldfield, the late Jean
Goldfield, the late Rebecca (the late
Saul) Adaskin, the late Solly Goldfield,
the late Barbara (the late Sam) Press.

FREDERICK EARL
RUBIN, 83, of
Birmingham, died
peacefully on Dec. 14,
2018, in Danville, Calif.
He was surrounded by
love and with his family.
Mr. Rubin was born to Nathan
and Elsie Rubin on April 23, 1935, in
Detroit.
He graduated with a bachelor of arts
in political science from the University
of Michigan in 1957 and was a mem-
ber of ZBT fraternity.
Mr. Rubin led a successful career
in Michigan as a real estate developer,
building houses throughout the Detroit
area and beyond.
He was known for his hats, his
humor, his talent for making a deli-
cious steak, his expert golf game,
being involved with the Birmingham
Optimist Club and especially for the
strong love he held for his friends and
family.
Mr. Rubin married his beloved
Gaylee in 1968 and is survived by her
as well as by his daughters, Jessica
and Rebecca; his son-in-law, Amit
Sachdeva; his granddaughter, Ruby;
nephews and nieces, Mitchell Bleznak
(Michele), Nancy Brody (Bob), Ellen
Wiss; brother-in-law and sister-in-law,
Bill and Susan Mirbach.
He was predeceased by his parents,
Nathan and Elsie; and sisters, Phyllis
and Lois; nephew, Bob Begun.
A small shivah will be held at
Congregation B’nai Tikvah in Walnut
Creek, Calif. A larger, private celebra-
tion of his life is being planned in the
Detroit area next spring. Contributions
