Mrs. Hoberman was the beloved
wife for 69 years of the late Sol
Hoberman; dear sister and sister-
in-law of the late Pauline and the
late Leonard Schreiber, the late Paul
Drucker, the late Floyd Tukel.

FREDERIC I. “FRED”
KEYWELL, 84, of
Bloomfield Hills, died
Nov. 22, 2018.
He was a loyal friend,
trusted counselor
and mentor to many.
After his family, Fred took pride in
founding the law firm of Keywell &
Rosenfeld and in Temple Israel. Fred
practiced law with integrity for 55
years. Temple was a part of Fred’s
life since its inception. He felt it was
an honor to serve as president from
1988-1990.
Fred’s deepest passion was the
University of Michigan. While he
graduated from Michigan in 1956, his
love for the university began when he
was a child. He went on from U-M to
graduate from Harvard Law School in
1959, but his devotion was always to
the University of Michigan. He cham-
pioned Michigan’s academic excel-
lence as well as its sports teams.
Mr. Keywell is survived by his
wife and partner in life for almost 52
years, Stephanie Keywell; children,
Julie Keywell and David Rosenbaum,
Bradley Keywell and Kim Sabin;
grandchildren, Jacob and Sarah
Giardina, and Chloe and Casey
Keywell; loving sister, Terry Fuller;
her children, Michael Fuller, and Ricki
and Dr. Ralph Pagano; sister-in-law
and brother-in-law, Pam and Dr. Dick
Zakheim; brother-in-law and sister-
in-law, Michael Katz and Dr. Barbara
Dutmers; nephew, Noah Katz.
He was the devoted son of the late
Gretchen and the late Ben Keywell.
Interment was at Beth El Memorial
Park. Contributions may be made to

NEIL KLEIMAN, 84,
of Southfield, died
Nov. 22, 2018.
He is survived by
his sons and daugh-
ters-in-law, Scott and
Michelle Kleiman,
Ira and Deanna Kleiman; daughter
and son-in-law, Ingrid and Scott
Segall; grandchildren, Emma, Erika,
Joe, Zack, Josh, Matt, Jacob and
David; sister, Shirley Duberstein;
devoted companion, Judy Behrmann;
Judy’s children, grandchildren and
many loving nieces, nephews, other
family members and friends.
Mr. Kleiman was the brother of
the late Lawrence Kleiman; brother-
in-law of the late Mac Duberstein.
Interment was at the Beth
El Memorial Park Cemetery in
Livonia. Contributions may be made
to the Juvenile Diabetes Research
Foundation. Arrangements by

DR. GERALD
KRAUSE, 94, of
Bloomfield Hills, died
Nov. 23, 2018.
He is survived by
his children, Charles
Krause, Suzanne
Smuckler, Judy Hoffman Metzger
and Marc Metzger; grandchildren,
Elisabeth and Todd Fierman, Robert
Smuckler and Lawrence Sullivan,
Samantha Metzger and Brandon
Carrino, Emily Metzger and her
boyfriend, Christian Parrinello;
great-grandchildren, Andrew and
Brody Fierman; his devoted caregiv-
er, LaTonja Cooper.
Dr. Krause was the loving father
of the late Rhonda Hoffman and
the late Michael Hoffman; the
dear father-in-law of the late Gary
Smuckler.
Interment was at Beth El Memorial
