tional design competition in recent history, will be on display during the week in historic

Daniel Kahn & Painted Bird

Justice, in partnership with Cohn-Haddow
Center for Judaic Studies at Wayne
State University, Birmingham Temple and
Workmen’s Circle-Arbeter Ring Michigan,
present former Detroiter Daniel Kahn and
his group, the Painted Bird, in concert. The
Berlin-based group’s music is described
as “a mixture of klezmer, radical Yiddish
song, political cabaret and punk folk.”
Opening the concert is Sacramento Knoxx,
an Ojibwe and Chicano rapper, multimedia
performer and community organizer. At

Proceeds will benefit DJJ’s work for racial
and economic justice and BT’s efforts to
support a local family of Syrian refugees.
