Carrie (Lipsitz) and Ryan Lehrman of Phoenix, Ariz., are
pleased to announce the birth of their son, Ari Joel Lehrman,
brother of Samantha and Ryah. Grandparents are Karen and

He organized the tutoring himself and
found the experience of helping others
to be very rewarding.

Ian Jack Weinberg
of Birmingham was
called to the Torah
at Temple Shir
Shalom in West
Bloomfield on
Saturday, Sept. 8,
2018. He is the son of
proud parents,
Weinberg
Lauren and David
Weinberg, and brother of Alexa and
Sienna. He is the loving grandchild of
Joe and Linda Weinberg, Phyllis
Kaplan and the late Irving Kaplan.
For Ian’s meaningful mitzvah proj-
ect, he raised $5,000 for LUNGgevity
Foundation, the leading private pro-
vider of lung cancer research. This
foundation is near and dear to his
heart because a young family friend
has stage 4 nonsmoking lung cancer.

Wilson, will lead the
congregation in
prayer as she
becomes a bat mitz-
vah at Temple
Israel on Friday,
Wilson
Sept. 14, 2018. She
will be joined in celebration by her
brother Brady and proud grandpar-
ents Alan Bishop, Laurie and Morrie
Lefkowitz, and Ellen and Allan
Wilson. Molly is the loving great-
grandchild of Rochelle and the late
Marvin Freedman, the late Maury
Alpert, the late Robert and Mildred
Bishop, the late Fran and Charlie
Goldstein, and the late Harry and Etta
Wilson.
Molly attends West Hills Middle
School in Bloomfield Hills. For her
most meaningful mitzvah project, she
donated funds to Juvenile Diabetes
Research Foundation (JDRF) in honor
of her cousin Brooke Klein. Each year
Molly participates in the JDRF One
Walk to help in the mission to find a
cure for Type 1 diabetes and to make
living with T1D safer and healthier,
until it is no longer a threat.
