INTERFAITH PICNIC FOR ALL
Noon-5 pm, Aug. 5. Eighth annual
Suburban-Urban Interfaith Unity Picnic
offers potluck meal, live music, DJ,
games, face painting, drumming and
singing. Interfaith service at 12:15.
Leaders provide kosher hot dogs, halal
chicken, veggie burgers, hamburgers
and water. Bring a dish without peanuts
to share and label ingredients on a
notecard. Bring salads or veggies if last
name starts with A-L,otherwise, fruit
or dessert. Main sponsors are Rabbi
Dorit Edut’s Detroit Outreach Interfaith

1:30-3 pm, Aug. 7. The Alzheimer’s
Association-Greater Michigan Chapter,
in collaboration with Jewish Senior Life,
holds a monthly support group on the
first Tuesday. Caregivers, families and
friends of individuals with dementia
or Alzheimer’s disease may attend.
The group’s co-facilitators are Diane

new, 20-mile bicycle tour of historic
Detroit, including seven historical
stops. Faster rider group will start at
