Yad Ezra Hosts Battle Hunger

Yad Ezra is hosting its
much-anticipated annual
spring event friend-raiser,
this year called “Battle
Hunger,” scheduled for
Wednesday, May 9, at the
Max M. and Marjorie S.
Fisher Music Center in
Detroit.
Chicago Dance Crash,
one of the most promi-
nent hip hop/contempo-
rary dance companies in the United
States is excited to “Battle Hunger!”
for Yad Ezra. This world-premiere
show matches competitive dance
with the spectacle of sports enter-
tainment, featuring some of Chicago’s
most accomplished concert and
street dancers assembled for battle
on the stage.
Two dance crews will compete
in a series of exciting and hilarious
movement rounds inspired by the

film, The Fight Of Our Lives, exam-
ines the internal and external
threats facing the West. The film
will be shown on Monday, May
7, at 7:15 a.m. at The Corners,
2075 Walnut Lake Road, West
Bloomfield. The film will be fol-
lowed by a post-screening Q&A
with award-winning producer/
director Gloria Z. Greenfield.
