Deborah and Robert Brondo of
Glen Cove, N.Y.
Sammi earned her bach-
elor’s degree at the University of
Michigan and her master’s degree
in clinical nutrition from New
York University. She works as a
registered dietitian in her private
practice, Nutrition Works NY.
Jordan earned his bachelor’s
degree from the George Washington University. He is director in institutional
equity sales at Barclays.
Sammi and Jordan reside in New York City. A June wedding is planned in
Detroit. •

Hechler 90th

ose Hechler turned 90 years
young on April 18. She and
her husband, Mark, have
been happily married for 70 years
plus. Rose helped organize the
first B’nai B’rith girls group in the
Detroit area and has organized
Yiddish discussion groups, Pan
games and canasta tournaments.
She will celebrate her birthday
with family and friends when she
returns from Florida. She is the
proud parent of Ellen Hechler, and
Andi and Mark Weiss; the proud
grandmother of Kevin and Amy
Weiss, Kim Weiss, and Scott Weiss and his fiancée, Elyse Wartel. She also is
the proud great-grandmother of Eliana, Sam and Gwendolyn Weiss. •
