udge Michael and Bari Silver,
former residents of West
Bloomfield, now of Port Saint
Lucie, Fla., announce the engage-
ment of their son Adam Daniel
to Tracey Helene, daughter of
Howard and Stephanie Serber of
Wayne, N.J.
Mr. Silver graduated from the
University of Michigan with a
B.S. in mechanical engineering
and has earned the designation
of Chartered Financial Analyst
(CFA). He is a leveraged loan cred-
it analyst with Arrowmark Partners in Denver, Colo.
Ms. Serber graduated from American University in Washington, D.C., with
a B.A. in public communications. She is the pitches and pursuits manager at
the Global Law Firm of Hogan Lovells in New York City.
Their wedding will take place in October at the Edgewood Country Club
in River Vale, N.J. •

Smoler-Pappas

obin Pappas and David
Pappas, both of West
Bloomfield, are thrilled to
announce the engagement of their
daughter Kayla to David Smoler,
son of Becky and Glenn Smoler of
Chicago.
Kayla graduated from Indiana
University with a B.S. in elemen-
tary education. David graduated
from Illinois State University with
a B.S. in recreational manage-
ment.
Kayla and David both work for Chicago Public Schools and reside in
Chicago.
A July wedding is planned in Rochester, Mich. •

tephanie Steinberg and Jake
Serwer will be married on
May 5, 2018, in Downtown
Detroit.
Stephanie is the managing
editor of Neighborhood SEEN
magazine, and Jake is the CEO
and founder of Espresso Public
Relations LLC.
Both Metro Detroit natives and
proud Michigan Wolverines, they
met while working in Washington,
D.C. They returned to Detroit
in 2016 to be a part of Detroit’s
renaissance.
Stephanie is the daughter of David and Joyce Steinberg, and sister of
Lindsay Steinberg. Jake is the son of William and Sally Serwer, and brother of
Michael Serwer. •
