Hear songwriter and lead vocalist Melody Walker
belt out the “roots pop” that band Front Country
has earned a following for. Backed by a band
including lead guitarist Jacob Groopman (his dad is
Jewish), Adam Roszkiewicz, a mandolinist with a
degree in classical guitar (and whose side project,
Ger Mandolin Orchestra, represents the 1930s
Eastern European Jewish mandolin orchestra
tradition) and a bassist steeped in jazz and
bluegrass and a violinist that can easily hop from
