of new and gently used children’s
books to donate to an elementary
school in Detroit.

vah project he volunteered at St.
Leo’s Soup Kitchen in Detroit.

Hills. In addition to the mitzvot
performed with the Temple Beth El
Religious School, Sam found hosting
several of his birthday parties as fun-
draisers for holiday gifts for children
in need as most meaningful.

experience, Abbey volunteered
for several years for the Susan G.
Komen three-day Walk for A Cure
and raised money for donation to
breast cancer research.

from bagel sales at Shir Shalom for the
Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

enrich the lives of people with dis-
abilities. He found this experience to
be very rewarding.
