ORT held its ninth annual Camp Hermelin
fundraiser Sept. 17 at the Bingham Farms
home of Doreen Hermelin. The event
allowed more than 900 kids, parents and
grandparents to reconnect with camp
friends and staff while enjoying a variety
of activities, including arts and crafts,
sports, dance, tug-of-war and more, run
by 12 local camps and 11 activity-based
businesses.
Event co-chairs Carole Ben-Ezra, Melissa
Feldman and Shayna Levine, along with
the planning committee, raised close to
$70,000 to benefit at-risk ORT students in
Israel.
Additionally, there were eight raffle prizes
of free or deeply discounted camp tuition
