The annual Walk4Friendship hosted by
Friendship Circle in West Bloomfield drew more
than 4,0000 people Sept. 3 to participate in its
walk as well as fun family activities.
Although the event is free, it still raised
$550,000 for Friendship Circle, which provides
programs for children, teens and young adults
with special needs. That figure is $15,000
above what was raised last year.
Following a new route from the West
Bloomfield Township civic offices to the Farber
Soul Center, the line of walkers stretched long
and strong down Walnut Lake Road. •
