Dan and Ayelet (Tzuriel) Berkove of Givat Shmuel, Israel, are
absolutely delighted to announce the birth of their daugh-
ter, Shira Miriam. She was enthusiastically welcomed home
by her big brothers, Yehuda Shiloh, Gilad Tzvi, Yair Pinchas
and Noam David. Thrilled are grandparents Gail and Larry
Berkove of Southfield, and Levana and Yaakov Tzuriel of
Elkanah, Israel. Sharing their joy is great-grandmother
Natalie Feldman of Chicago.
Kelly (Brickner) and Zachary Lyon of Portland, Ore., are
thrilled to announce the arrival of their daughter, Lake
Marlowe. Excited first-time grandparents are Cheryl
and Barry Brickner of Farmington Hills, and Kathryn and
Charles Lyon of Manawa, Wis. Lake Marlowe is named in
loving memory of her paternal great-aunt LaDeane Lyon
and her maternal great-grandparents Melvin and Sarabelle
Fishman, and Martha Brickner.

grandchild of the late Rose and
Ruben Slovis, the late Adele and
Saul Berger, the late Vicki and
Seymour Wimpfheimer, and the
late Janet and Joseph Liebman.
Victor is a student at Cranbrook
Kingswood Boys’ Middle School
in Bloomfield Hills. Among his
many mitzvah projects, he found
it most meaningful to raise funds
for North Star Reach Camp, which
offers free life-changing camp
experiences for children with seri-
ous health challenges.

Hills Middle School in Bloomfield
Hills. Among his many mitzvah
projects, he found volunteering
with his peers at the Temple Israel
Labor Day Picnic to be the most
rewarding.

the son of Brian
and Miriam Halprin and the broth-
er of Samuel. Joshua’s grandpar-
ents are Stan and Shirley Halprin,
Adele (Gaba) and Oscar Band, and
the late Leonard Gaba.
Joshua is a student at Bloomfield
Hills Middle School. Among his
mitzvah projects, he acted as a
mentor for his brother’s First Lego
League team.

Rosenfeld and the late Masal
Rosenfeld.
Raquel is a seventh-grade stu-
dent at Berkshire Middle School
in Beverly Hills. For her mitzvah
project, she volunteered help-
ing seniors at the Fleischman
Residence in West Bloomfield.

recently in Palm Springs,
Calif. Igael Gurin-Malous offici-
ated.
The bride, 30, works as a digi-
tal marketing manager for Sony
Pictures Entertainment. She
graduated from Arizona State
University. She is the daughter
of Maureen Mayer of Vail, Colo.,
and Delray Beach, Fla., and Bruce
Cohen of Tampa, Fla. Her mother
is a medical management consultant and co-owns the MDMC Group with
her husband, the bride’s stepfather, noted investor relations strategist Austin
Wing Mayer.
The groom, 36, is an attorney and works as the director of audit and client
services at Warner/Chappell Music Inc. He graduated from the University of
Michigan and received his J.D. from Tulane University Law School. He is the
son of Joan Brode of Huntington Woods and the late Dr. Herbert Brode. His
mother is a retired school teacher and dedicated community volunteer. The
groom’s father was an oral surgeon.
The couple plan to honeymoon in Italy and reside in Los Angeles, Calif. •

of their daughter Meredith Cohen
to Rabbi Yoni Dahlen, son of
Kermit and Mari Kaptain-Dahlen
of Hinton, Iowa.
Meredith received her B.S.W.
at Michigan State University, her
master of social work at University
of Michigan and her Juris Doctor
from Wayne State University
Law School. She practices family
law, utilizing various alternative dispute resolution methods such as family
mediation and collaborative law.
Yoni earned his B.A. from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, S.D., his mas-
ter of arts in Jewish philosophy at Brandeis University, Waltham, Mass., and
was ordained at the Jewish Theological Seminary of New York. He is a rabbi
at Congregation Shaarey Zedek in Southfield.
An intimate Michigan wedding is planned for August 2017. •
