Menorah
In The D

Now in its sixth year, Menorah in the D
has become the area’s largest commu-
nity-wide menorah lighting, drawing
more than 3,000 people. Sponsored
by The Shul in West Bloomfield, in
partnership with Jewish Federation’s
NEXTGen Detroit and Chabad of
Greater Downtown Detroit, the event
took place on Dec. 27 at Campus
Martius in Downtown Detroit.
Festivities featured a family tent
with activities, a kosher food court, an
after-party for those 21 and older, and
presentations by BBYO essay award-
winners. •

Thousands join in lighting the fifth light of Chanukah.
