Findlay-Warner

L

inda and Allen Warner of Farmington
Hills joyfully announce the marriage
of their daughter Valerie Elyse to Ryan
Maurice Findlay, son of Sharon Findlay of
Edinburgh, Scotland, and Duncan Findlay
and Grainne Keyes of Rarotonga, Cook
Islands.
Ryan is the grandson of Maria Findlay, the
late Henry Findlay, and the late Sylvia and
Andres Katz. Valerie is the granddaughter of
the late Isadora and Jerome Helfman.
The couple was united recently under the
chuppah by Rabbi Pinny Weinman at the
Edinburgh Academy. They were accompa-
nied by Amanda Warner, sister of the bride, and Sophia Findlay, daughter of the
groom.
The bride earned a B.A. from the University of Michigan and an M.S. from
the University of Edinburgh; she is a researcher with NHS Scotland. The groom
attended the University of Aberdeen and is an entrepreneur.
They had an earlier civil ceremony, but the tradition of blessings under a
chuppah were very important. They live happily in Edinburgh.
