JACK FRIEDMAN,
86, of Bloomfield
Hills, died Nov. 7,
2016.
He is survived by
his children, Stacy
and Jeffrey Brodsky,
Dr. Steven and
Friedman
Cheryl Friedman,
Scott Friedman and
Shelby Friedman;
grandchildren, Brian, Tamara and
Danielle Brodsky, Liza, Abigail and
Kathryn Friedman, and Alex, David
and Emily Chaben; brother and sister-
in-law, Mort and Deborah Friedman;
brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Miles
and Deborah Barnett; many loving
nieces and nephews.
Mr. Friedman was the beloved hus-
band for 52 years of the late Joan Dee
Friedman; the devoted son of the late
Louis and the late Fannie Friedman;
the dear brother-in-law of the late
Carl Barnett; the business partner of
the late Joseph and the late Milton
Dresner.
Interment was at Clover Hill Park

BESSIE GLAZIER,
97, of Farmington
Hills, died Nov. 12,
2016.
She was a past
president and
active member of
the sisterhoods
Glazier
of Congregations
Ahavas Achim,
Beth Achim and
B’nai Israel. Mrs. Glazier was also
active with the Jewish War Veterans
Auxiliary and put thousands of miles
on her car for the Jewish National
Fund. Her family had one of the first
forests from Michigan dedicated in
Israel.
She is survived by her children,
Louis and Paula Glazier of West
Bloomfield, and Manny and Sandra
Glazier of West Bloomfield; grandchil-
dren, Michael Glazier, Zachary Glazier
and Michelle Coleman, Mindy and
Dr. Jesse Civan, Ilana Glazier and Dr.
Lowell Schmeltz; great-grandchildren,
Rena Civan, Aviva Civan, Noah Civan,
Benji Schmeltz, Ryan Schmeltz and
Kobi Schmeltz; nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends.
Mrs. Glazier was the beloved wife
for more than 50 years of the late
Maurice Glazier; cherished sister and
sister-in-law of the late Manuel and the
late Clara Faxstein, and the late Zina
Faxstein.
Interment was at Beth Tefilo

DR. ABRAHAM GRANT, 96, of
White Plains, N.Y., formerly of
Michigan, died Nov. 13, 2016.
He was the son of esteemed parents,
the late Nathan and the late Yetta
Grant; beloved husband of the late
Elaine Joyce Grant, and Dr. Mildred
Axelrod-Grant; cherished father of the
late Debby Grant-Weissman, the late
Dr. Kenneth Weissman, Judith Grant,
the late Donna Beth Grant and Dr.
Gilbert (Judy) Grant; loving brother
of the late Faye and Harry Krohner,
the late Sara and Ruby Folkoff, Lillian
Glanz and the late Sam Glanz, Rose
Ross, Libby Newman and the late Dr.
Larry Newman. In addition to his chil-
dren, Judith and Gilbert, Dr. Grant is
survived by his loving grandchildren,
Dr. Candace Weissman and Dr. Jason
Strauss, Dr. Taryn Weissman and Rafi
Ezri, Dr. Elon Granadar and Dr. Yael
Granader Alexandra Grant, Tori Grant,
and Sydney Grant; adoring great-
grandchildren, Jake and Noah Strauss,
and Gabe Ezri.
Interment was at Beth Tefilo
