leanor Minkoff passed away
peacefully on Sept. 11, 2016, in
Newark, Ohio.
Eleanor Boigon was born in
Detroit on Feb. 28, 1920. She,
her sister Annette and two

bookstore of Cass Technical High School
until her first retirement at 65. Eleanor
"retired again" after working 10 more
years as a bookkeeper at Eaton Steel.
Eleanor's first love had always been
her family. She wed Eddie Minkoff in
1951 and remained very happily mar-
ried for 10 years until his untimely death
at age 41. Eleanor raised her son and
two daughters — the apples of her eye
— as a single mom. She made sure each
of them had everything they needed,
including a college degree.
Eleanor cherished her many friend-
ships with longtime and new friends
