Joshua is a student at Berkshire
Middle School in Beverly Hills. His

collecting new games for Children’s
Hospital of Michigan.

Seth to Leah Michelle Bloch, daughter of
Dr. Janice Gelfand and Norman Bloch of
Pelham, N.Y.
Michael is the grandson of Harry
and the late Sally Nosanchuk, the late
Bernice and the late Sherwin Birnkrant.
He earned a bachelor of science degree
from Tufts University and a master of arts
degree at the Boston Graduate School of
Psychoanalysis, where he is a doctoral can-
didate. He works as a psychotherapist.
Leah is the granddaughter of Jean and the late Jacques Bloch, the late
Annette and the late Ben Gelfand. She earned a bachelor of science degree from
Vanderbilt University and attended graduate school at Harvard University. She is
a high school guidance counselor.
A November 2016 wedding is planned in Newport, R.I.

of Farmington Hills, together
with Richard Helper of Ann
Arbor and Sharon Helper of Grosse Ile, are
thrilled to announce the engagement of
their children Jordan Samuel Solomon and
Ashley Elizabeth Helper.
Ashley received her bachelor of
music education from Eastern Michigan
University. She is employed as a vocal
music teacher for Dearborn Public Schools.
Jordan received his bachelor of fine arts
from Oakland University in Rochester. He
is employed as a team leader for purchasing
and closing at Quicken Loans.
Jordan is the grandson of Muriel Rothenberg of West Bloomfield and the
late Hanley Rothenberg, Priscilla Solomon of Southfield and the late Dr. Milton
Solomon. Ashley is the granddaughter of Karen Helper of Buffalo, N.Y., and the
late Gerard Helper.
An October wedding is planned in Detroit. The couple reside in Berkley.

Farmington Hills celebrated their
60th wedding anniversary on July
31. Surrounded by family and friends at
Temple Israel, they renewed their wedding
vows. A brunch followed. Guests traveled
from across the country to attend.

Bloomfield will celebrate their
50th wedding anniversary on
Sept. 5. They will celebrate at a dinner
Downtown with their children, Eric and
Michelle Mintz, Amy and David Gach, as
well as their four grandchildren, Isaac,
Eden, Avery and Eli. They are wished
health and happiness for the next 50
years.
