Alexis Rose Wormser (Alitza Ya’akova) of Commerce
Township will celebrate her bat mitzvah on Saturday, Aug. 6, at
Temple Kol Ami in West Bloomfield. Proud parents, Judy and
Alan Wormser, sisters Michelle and Ashley, and grandparents
Barbara Becker, and Sandy and Henry Wormser are thrilled to
join Alexis for this special simchah. She is also the grand-
daughter of the late Raymond Becker.
Alexis was delighted to volunteer as a reader and tutor for
preschool students at Priest Elementary as one of her meaning-
ful mitzvah projects.

friends, who express wishes for their lives to

Passman-Nilson

arol Nilson of St. Louis, Mo., and
Patty and Dan Passman of Franklin
are excited to announce the
engagement of their children Paige Nilson
and Michael Passman.
Paige and Michael met in Chicago in 2013
when a mutual friend introduced them.
Paige received her undergraduate and
graduate degrees from the University of
Missouri, both in education; and she now
teaches second grade in Chicago Public
Schools.
Michael graduated from the University
of Michigan with a degree in organizational
behavior and works as the press secretary for Chicago Public Schools.
An August wedding is planned in Northern Michigan. The couple reside in
Chicago.
