Obituaries
BERNARD
EKELMAN, 88, of
West Bloomfield,
died June 22, 2016.
He was best
known for his own-
ership in Shades
of Gold, an opti-
cal fashion store
in the Northland
Shopping Center in
Southfield.
Mr. Ekelman is survived by his
wife of 68 years, Lois Ekelman; sons
and daughter-in-law, David and Lori
Ekelman of Rochester. and Ronnie
Ekelman of Farmington Hills; daugh-
ter and son-in-law, Linda and Andy
Adelson of West Bloomfield; grand-
children, Justin Beckwith, Jason
Beckwith and Amanda Adelson;
brothers-in-law and sister-in-law,
Arthur Koenig Jr., and Robert and
May Koenig.
He was the devoted son of the late
Nate D. and the late Rose Ekelman;
the dear brother-in-law of the late
Claudia Koenig.
Interment was at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery. Contributions may be

Mrs. Goodwin was the cher-
ished mother of the late Garry Neil
Goodwin; the devoted daughter
of the late Sara Diane and the late
Solomon Feldman; the loving sis-
ter of the late Natalie Lax, the late
Lilyan Victor, the late Alice Schrier
and the late Geraldine Feldman.
Interment was at Adat Shalom
Memorial Park Cemetery.
