The Jewish Agency for Israel
mourns the passing of

Marjorie S. Fisher, z”l

The Fisher family has played an important role
in creating the State of Israel and strengthening the
Jewish people through their commitment to The Jewish Agency.

Marjorie’s late husband, Max M. Fisher, led the reconstitution
of The Jewish Agency in 1971 and was the Founding Chair of
the Board of Governors, playing a leadership role until his death.

Jane Sherman serves as an honorary member
of the Board of Governors.

Over the years, the Max M. and Marjorie S. Fisher Foundation
has granted The Jewish Agency millions of dollars to rescue
Jews living in distress and bring them to Israel, to care for
Israel’s most vulnerable citizens and to work with youth at risk.

We send condolences to the entire family and know they
will continue in the footsteps of Marjorie and Max, who
loved the Jewish people and our homeland Israel.
