maternal great-grandfathers Bernard
Goldberg and Bernard Shapiro.

rate his bar mitzvah
on Friday, June 10, at
Temple Shir Shalom

in West Bloomfield.
He is the grandson of
Helene and Mitch August, and the late
Susan Klein Shapiro and Donald
Shapiro.
Jared is a seventh-grader at Abbott
Middle School in West Bloomfield.
His most meaningful mitzvah project
was working in the first-grade class-
room during Hebrew School. He really
enjoyed helping the younger children
with projects.
Joshua is the grandchild of Barbara
Dechter, Mitchell Dechter, and Sandy
and the late Morrie Efros.
He is a student at Bloomfield Hills
Middle School in Bloomfield Hills.
Joshua found volunteering as a math
tutor to be the most meaningful of his
many mitzvah projects.

his mitzvah project, Noah volunteered
at Roosevelt School in the library and
