Silver

MARCH 21
Lori (Robinson) and Michael Silver of Los Angeles are
thrilled to announce the birth of their daughter, Thea Mae.
Overjoyed grandparents are Judy Robinson, and Dorit
and Stephen Silver, all of West Bloomfield. Thea is also the
granddaughter of the late Mark Robinson. Excited great-
grandparents are Kati and Ben Gottlieb of Toronto. Thea is
named in loving memory of her maternal great-grandmoth-
er Belle Englander and her grandfather Mark Robinson.

Dean Hayden
Bolton, son of Karen
and David Bolton,
will lead the congre-
gation in prayer on
the occasion of his
bar mitzvah at
Temple Israel in
Bolton
West Bloomfield on
Saturday, May 28. He
will be joined in cel-
ebration by his brother Dylan and
proud grandparents Susan and Dr.
Alan Bolton, and Sharon and James
Lossia, and great-grandmother Juanita
Victor.
Dean is a student at West Hills
Middle School in Bloomfield Hills. As
part of his mitzvah project, he volun-
teered weekly at the Friendship Circle
in West Bloomfield. As he found this
to be very meaningful, he also raised
funds to donate to help support the
programs at the Friendship Circle.

Justin Lev Brown,
son of Leslie and
Mitchell Brown and
brother of Shayna,
will be called to the
Torah in honor of his
bar mitzvah on
Saturday, May 28, at
Brown
Congregation Beth
Shalom in Oak Park.
He is the grandson
of Arlene and Leonard Brown, and
Harriett Milgrom.
Justin is a student at Cranbrook
Middle School in Bloomfield Hills. As
part of his mitzvah experience, he vol-
unteers weekly at the Friendship Circle
in West Bloomfield, where he really
enjoys interacting with the children
and helping make a difference in their
lives.

Logan Carly
Forman led the con-
gregation in prayer
on the occasion of
her bat mitzvah at
Temple Israel in
West Bloomfield on
Saturday, May 14.

She is the loving
daughter of Shawn
and Jeff Forman, sis-
ter of Adam and Eric, and the grand-
child of Sharlee and Mel Hoberman,
Marsha Davidson Velthoven, the late
Fred Velthoven, Sheila and the late
Leon Forman. Her great-grandparents
are the late Katie and the late Irvin
Forman, the late Gertrude and the late
Sol Hoberman, the late Clara and the
late Norman Davidson, the late Samuel
and Molly Mifelow.
Logan is a student at O.E. Dunckel
Middle School in Farmington Hills.
Among her many mitzvah experiences,
she found volunteering for Temple
Israel’s Kever Avot program to be
the most meaningful. This program
provides an opportunity for older
adults in the community to visit the
gravesites of their loved ones.

will become a bar
mitzvah on Saturday,
May 28, at Temple
Israel in West
Bloomfield. He will

Sydney and his
proud grandparents Roberta and Paul
Ingber, Sharon and Alan Kaplan, and
Lynn Feuerman.
Ethan is a student at Clifford
Smart Middle School in Commerce
Township. As part of his many mitzvah
projects, he collected gently used and
new sports equipment for donation
to the Detroit Police Athletic League.
He found this experience to be very
rewarding.

Jordyn Halle Krauss
will be called to the
Torah as a bat mitzvah
on Saturday, May 28,
at Temple Shir
Shalom in West
Bloomfield. She will be
joined in celebration

by her proud parents,
Drs. Barb and Dan
Krauss, and brother Brett. She is the lov-
ing granddaughter of Myrna and Sid
Konikow, and Cherie and Perry Krauss.
Jordyn is a student at Eton Academy
in Birmingham. For her mitzvah proj-
ect, she has been volunteering at the
Friendship Circle in West Bloomfield. She
enjoys being a mentor and friend to other
children and plans to continue as a volun-
teer after her bat mitzvah.

Bloomfield. Tali is the
daughter of Robin and
Rubenstein
Rabbi Steven
Rubenstein and sister
of Ari. Proud grandparents are Eileen and
Ira Rosenbaum, Martin Rubenstein and
Lana Gelb. She is also the granddaughter
of the late Arlene Rubenstein.
Tali is a student at Hillel Day School
of Metropolitan Detroit in Farmington
Hills. She used the StoryCorps app (www.
storycorps.org) for her mitzvah project to
record the stories, values and memories
of members of the Beth Ahm community.

David is the grandchild of Arlene and

Nakisher, Sheila and Max Gendelman,
Ruth Dvash, and Shoshana and Avi
Dvash.
He is a student at Hillel Day School
of Metropolitan Detroit in Farmington
Hills. As part of his mitzvah experience,
David volunteered his time at Yad Ezra
in Berkley to help combat hunger in our
community.

Elijah Tucker
Steinbock (Eliyahu
Chaim) of Huntington
Woods will be called
to the Torah as a bar
mitzvah on Saturday,
May 28, at Adat
Shalom Synagogue in
Steinbock
Farmington Hills. He
is the son of Rebecca
Kushner Steinbock, and Bonnie and Alex
Steinbock, and the brother of Sophie and
Claire Steinbock, and Stella Steinbock.
Joining in his celebration will be his
proud grandparents Carrie and Roger
Kushner, Paula Matlen, Sharon and Roy
Steinbock, and Judy and Walter Coleman.
Elijah attends Norup International
School in Oak Park. One of the ways he
has chosen to give back to his community
is to partner with a friend to organize
a charity basketball tournament this
fall. All proceeds will go to the Juvenile
Diabetes Research Foundation, a cause
that, along with basketball, is close to his
heart.

Samuel Osipov, son of
Tatyana and Yuliy
Osipov, will lead the
congregation in prayer
on the occasion of his
bar mitzvah on Friday,
May 27, at Temple
Israel in West
Osipov
Bloomfield. He will be
joined in celebration
by his siblings Lazar and Ariella, and
proud grandparents Larisa and Robert
Osipov, and Raisa and Yefim
Mardakhayev.
Samuel attends Walnut Creek Middle
School in Walled Lake. Among his many
mitzvah experiences, he volunteered at
Yad Ezra in Berkley, Michigan’s kosher
food pantry. He found helping to combat
hunger in our community to be very
rewarding.

Leah Morgan Zerkel
(Layah Chayah) will
become a bat mitzvah
Saturday, May 28, at
Congregation
Shaarey Zedek in
Southfield. She is the
daughter of Emma
Zerkel
and Michael Zerkel of
West Bloomfield, the
sister of Ian, and the granddaughter of
David and Marlene Zerkel of Orchard
Lake, Michael Kleerekoper and Dorothy
Nelson of Bloomfield, and the late Robin
and the late Jay Gorell.
Leah is a student at West Hills Middle
School in Bloomfield Hills and the
Shaarey Zedek Religious School. For her
mitzvah project, Leah volunteered at
Jewish Family Service and Shaarey Zedek.
