Mrs. Eppstein was the beloved wife of
the late Robert Eppstein; dear sister and
sister-in-law of the late Jack Levinson, the

the late Lillian Levinson; dear daughter-in-
law of the late Rose and the late Abraham
Eppstein; dear sister-in-law of the late
Frances and the late Don Jacobs.

Vocational Services, 29699 Southfield
Road, Southfield, MI 48076; or a charity of
one’s choice. Services and interment were
held at Clover Hill Park in Birmingham.

HARRIETT GOLDMAN, 102, of
Farmington Hills, died May 10, 2016.
She attended the College of the City
of Detroit (now WSU) and received her
bachelor’s and master’s degrees in addi-

tion to her business education degree.
Mrs. Goldman taught in the Detroit
and Bloomfield Hills school systems.
She was the first Jewish president of
the Detroit Panhellenic Association,
the overseer of the sororities on Wayne
State’s campus. She was a member of
Iota Alpha Pi. She was also a member of
the Women of Wayne and received the
Woman of Valor Award. She also served
as block captain for the March of Dimes.
Mrs. Goldman is survived by her
daughter and son-in-law, Paula and
Norman Miller of Farmington Hills;
son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Alan and
Sandra Goldman of Carmel, Calif.;
grandchildren, Karen Safran, Deborah
Safran and George Rooney, and Loren
Goldman; brother, Lawrence Silverman;
many loving nieces, nephews and
numerous caregivers.
She was the beloved wife of the late
David Goldman; the loving sister of
the late Milton and the late Jeanette
Silverman, and the late Leah Hoffman;
dear sister-in-law of the late Lillian and
the late Nathan Rubenstein, the late
Sylvia and the late Louis Tunick, the late

Mildred and the late Harry Myers; the
devoted daughter of the late Charles and
the late Pauline Silverman.
Interment was at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery. Contributions may be
made to a charity of one’s choice.
Arrangements by Ira Kaufman Chapel.

BERNICE CAPLAN
LAZEROW, 89, of
Southfield, died May
10, 2016.
She is survived by
her beloved husband,
Louis Lazerow; daugh-
ter and son-in-law,

in-law, Dr. Steven and Karen Caplan
of Baltimore, Md.; grandchildren,

Brian (Izzy) Doigan, Nina Doigan;
great-grandchildren, Aiden, Mateo and
Emmett; many loving nieces and neph-
ews, other family members and friends.
Mrs. Lazerow was the wife of the late

Manny Caplan.
Interment took place at the Temple
Beth Shalom Cemetery in Sarasota, Fla.
Contributions may be made to St. Jude’s
Children Hospital Research or Hadassah.

STUART OSHINSKY, 73, of Sugar Land,
Texas, died May 6, 2016.
He is survived by his beloved wife,
Susan Oshinsky; son, Marc Oshinsky;
daughter and son-in-law, Amy and
Nicholas Hodgins; brother and sister-in-
law, Melvin and Faye Owens; grandchild,
Samantha Levine; many loving nieces,
nephews, other family members and
friends.
Mr. Oshinsky was the brother of the
late Dennis Oshinsky and the late Carl
Oshinsky; the brother-in-law of the late
Robert Dworman.
Contributions can be made to the
American Heart Association or to
a charity of one’s choice. Interment
took place at Machpelah Cemetery in
Ferndale. Arrangements by Dorfman
Chapel.
