vah projects involved volunteering at Yad

Dana and Andrew Baer of Chicago,
Ill., are thrilled to announce the
birth of their sons, Simon Phillip
(Shimon Chanan) and Jacob Otto
(Ya’akov Chaim). Maternal grandpar-
ents are Janis and Samuel Holcman
of Farmington Hills. Other great-
grandparents are the late Charlotte and
Phillip Edelheit, the late Saba and the
late Morris Holcman, the late Chana
and Leon Cranis; and the late Maxine
and Otto Baer. Paternal grandparents
are Barbara and James Baer of Olivette,
Mo. Simon is named in memory of his
great-great-grandfather Simon Baer,
great-grandfather Phillip Edelheit and
great-grandmother Chana Cranis.
Jacob is named in memory of his great-
grandfather Otto Baer and great-grand-
mother Charlotte Edelheit.

Elie is a student at Detroit Country
Day in Beverly Hills. Her mitzvah project
includes engaging in play with children
during the Sunday circle time at the
Friendship Circle in West Bloomfield.

Southfield. Liana is
Tarnopol
the daughter of Drs.
Sharon Sandberg and
Marc Tarnopol.
Sharing in the celebration will be her
siblings Rebecca, Craig and Drew. Proud
grandparents are Arlene and Edwin
Tarnopol, and Dr. Hershel and Dorothy
Sandberg. Liana is also the granddaugh-
ter of the late Lois Sandberg.
Liana is a student at Hillel Day School
of Metropolitan Detroit in Farmington
Hills. Her most meaningful mitzvah
project was working for a year with
PeerCorp s at D-Town Farms in Detroit.
