Sasha Miller won after donating.

For the second year, Farmington
Hills-based Nakisher Orthodontics
has collected donations for the Detroit
Dog Rescue in its Furry Valentine
Promotion.
Dr. Andrea Nakisher committed to
matching every dollar that came in.
This year, the total donated exceeded
$1,400. Every dollar donated was
represented by a signed “paw,” which
decorated the office for all of February.
Patients and staff love support-
ing local organizations and especially
those that rescue abused and aban-
doned dogs. Everyone who donated
or sent in a picture with a furry friend
was entered to win one of six giant
plush animals.
