O
n Saturday, Feb. 27, more
than 200 MSU Hillel parents,
grandparents, alumni and
friends joined together for the first
annual Sparty Party at Mr. Joe’s in
Southfield.
The event, organized by MSU Hillel,
was sold out in advance. Attendees
enjoyed delicious appetizers, drinks
and dinner while rocking out to tunes
provided by the Feisty Birds.
“As an alumnus and parent of a cur-
rent student and recent graduate, I think
Sparty Party was a great opportunity to
connect with parents and friends and
celebrate the important work of MSU
Hillel,” said Dr. Steven Arbit, president,
MSU Hillel board of directors.
All proceeds from the evening ben-
efited the Lester and Jewell Morris
Hillel Jewish Student Center at MSU.

Laub of Birmingham; Sara and Dr.
Daniel Schnaar of Bloomfield Township
dent center on campus serving more
than 3,500 students through dynamic
programming, engagement efforts and
immersive experiences.
“Sparty Party couldn’t have been
possible without the generosity of Mr.
Joe’s and the Feisty Birds,” said Cindy
Hughey, MSU Hillel executive director.

event’s success in the future.”
