Schwartz will be
called to the Torah
as a bar mitzvah on
Saturday Nov. 7, at
Adat Shalom
Synagogue in
Farmington Hills.
Schwartz
Joining in his cele-
bration will be his
parents, Rhonda and Jeff Schwartz,
and his sister Ariana. Proud grand-
parents are Henny and Joe Schwartz,
Shirley Newberg, and Annette and
Marty Newman. He is also the
grandson of the late Arthur
Newberg.
Noah attends Bloomfield Hills
Middle School. Among the many
mitzvah projects he participated in
were volunteering at Franklin Round
Up and a Trick-or-Treat walk for pri-
mary ciliary dyskinesia.

Riley Alexa
Shapiro, daughter
of Brenda and
Adam Shapiro, will
lead the congrega-
tion in prayer on
the occasion of her
bat mitzvah at
Temple Israel in
West Bloomfield on
Friday, Nov. 6. She will be joined in
celebration by her brothers Reed and
Trevor and proud grandparents
Paula and Michael Shapiro, and
Evelyn and Jim Miller. She is the
great-grandchild of Charlotte and
the late Sidney Moskowitz, the late
Rita and Ted Shapiro.
Riley is a student at West Hills
Middle School in Bloomfield Hills.
As part of her mitzvah project, she
organized a dance-a-thon to raise
funds for the Juvenile Diabetes
Research Foundation in honor of her
cousin Ozzy Bettinger. She found
this experience to be very meaning-
ful.

Rebecca Ashley
Smith, daughter of
Beth and Kevin
Smith, will read
from the Torah on
the occasion of her
bat mitzvah on
Saturday, Nov. 7, at
Smith
Temple Israel in
West Bloomfield.
She is the sister of Justin and grand-

child of Sue Ellen and Harold
Dubrowsky, and Gail and the late
Arnold Smith.
Rebecca attends Cranbrook
Kingswood Middle School for Girls
in Bloomfield Hills. As part of her
mitzvah experience, she is passionate
about animals and raised funds that
she donated to the Humane Society.

Isabel Hannah
Zaltz, daughter of
Barbara and Ira
Zaltz, will be called
to the Torah as a
bat mitzvah on
Saturday, Nov. 7, at
Congregation
Isabel Zaltz
Shaarey Zedek in
Southfield. Sharing
the bimah on this special day will be
her twin sister Zoe. Isabel will be
joined in celebration by her proud
grandparents Diane Klein, and Sue
and Charlie Zaltz. Her late grandfa-
ther Emery Klein will be greatly
missed.
Isabel attends Hillel Day School of
Metropolitan Detroit in Farmington
Hills. She participated in multiple
mitzvah projects, but the most
meaningful one was volunteering
at a special needs camp at Burton
Elementary in Huntington Woods,
where she assisted children with
autism.

Zoe Madeline
Zaltz, daughter of
Barbara and Ira
Zaltz, will be called
to the Torah as a
bat mitzvah on
Saturday, Nov. 7, at
Congregation
Zoe Zaltz
Shaarey Zedek in
Southfield. Sharing
the bimah on this special day will be
her twin sister Isabel. Zoe will be
joined in celebration by her proud
grandparents Diane Klein, and Sue
and Charlie Zaltz. Her late grandfa-
ther Emery Klein will be greatly
missed.
Zoe attends Hillel Day School of
Metropolitan Detroit in Farmington
Hills. The most meaningful of her
mitzvah projects was volunteering
at Yad Ezra in Berkley, where she
distributed food in the warehouse
and made deliveries to homebound
clients.
