HEBREW POETRY

Instructor Dina Routin, a graduate of Hebrew
Union College in Jerusalem, will focus on writings
from mid-19th century Europe to Israel today.

sale, Greater Detroit Chapter of Hadassah is col-
lecting gently used clothing, toys, linens, bric-a-
brac, and small household and electrical items.
Same drop-off hours through Friday and also

FLU SHOT CLINIC

10 am-2 pm, Oct. 14. Many insurance plans
will cover cost of flu/pneumonia shots for ages
9 and older from VNA Caring Home Support. At
Greenberg Suite at West Bloomfield JCC. Without
insurance, a flu shot costs $25 and a pneumonia
shot is much higher. A parent or guardian must

the Josephine Ford Cancer Institute for this interactive
evening regarding breast cancer and our multidisciplinary
approach to breast health. This class will include a
cooking demonstration featuring super foods to improve
your stamina and benefit your overall health. Participants
will receive an update on the newest research and
technology to prevent, detect and treat breast cancer. A
fitness expert will also provide tips on relaxation and the
positive impact exercise has on breast health.
