The Detroit Symphony Orchestra
will roll out the red carpet for
guests at an Opening Weekend Red
Carpet Dinner celebrating the open-
ing of the 2015-16 season, which
begins with concerts featuring
Music Director Leonard Slatkin and
French piano sensation Jean-Yves
Thibaudet in a program including
Berlioz' Roman Carnival Overture,
Gershwin's Concerto in F, Jacob
Druckman's Mirage and a Suite from
Strauss' Der Rosenkavalier. Strolling
cocktails and hors d'ouevres will be
served before the seated 3-course
dinner, catered by Forte Belanger.
