Nesters shared full weekend of festive activities.

inely Jewish American Fourth of
weekend.
On July 3, 50 participants cel­

ebrated Shabbat Under the Stars and Stripes
with a special Kabbalat Shabbat service,

kosher dinner and fireworks at the Lincoln

Hills Golf Course.

The group

gathered late afternoon for a
tailgate party in Seaholm High School's park­
ing lot, where they lit Shabbat candles and
welcomed Shabbat. They walked together to
the golf course where they enjoyed a take­
out Shabbat dinner and a spirited Kabbalat

medley of patriotic songs followed, inspir­

ing others in the community to join in as the
packed golf course settled in for a spectacular

display of fireworks.
On July 5, the CSZ Empty Nesters joined

Jewish community groups at a Detroit
Tigers game.
The Empty Nesters have a full schedule of

social and

spiritual events planned for the

coming year.
