Bloomfield, died May 7, 2015.
He was a practicing attorney well into
his 80s. He graduated from Wayne State
University, where he was a member of
the Mu Beta Chi fraternity and was on
the varsity tennis team. He was also part
of the Bowling and Physics clubs. Mr.
Goodman served in the Army Air Corps.
He was a member of the Michigan State
Bar and Perfection Lodge.
He is survived by his sister-in-law,
Evelyn Costello of Farmington Hills;
other loving family members and
friends.
Mr. Goodman was the beloved hus-
band of the late Ann Goodman.
Contributions may be made to a char-
ity of one's choice. Interment took place
at the Machpelah Cemetery in Ferndale.

DAVID HOPTMAN,
90, of Huntington
Woods, died April 24,
2015.
Born in Detroit
on Dec. 27, 1924, he
grew up with parents,
Sarah and Morris
Hoptman
Hoptman, and sister
Yetta (Trustman),
who predeceased him. He attended
Wayne University (now Wayne State
University), where he received a master's
in social work. The majority of his career
was spent as a social worker at Jewish
Family Service in Southfield. David was
an accomplished photographer and
aficionado of music and film, making
frequent presentations on these sub-
jects to the Jewish Community Center's
Institute of Retired Professionals (IRP),
including Music Lovers; Seniors of
Active Retirement (SOAR; affiliated with
WSU), of which he was a faculty mem-
ber; Oakland Community College's Adult
Learning Institute; Fox Run retirement
community; and other organizations.
Mr. Hoptman was predeceased
by wives, Martha (Ray) Cohen,
Muriel Kingston Hoptman and Janis
Waxenberg.
He is survived by children, Claire
Wendy Cohen of Tallahassee, Fla.,
Matthew Hoptman and his wife, Marla
Abrams, of New York City, Ari Hoptman
of Minneapolis, Minn., Maya Hoptman
her husband, (John) Christopher
Kaltwasser; their daughter, Julia
Kaltwasser; his partner, Barbara Keidan;
in-laws, Paul and Barbara Goodman.

a charity of one's choice. A memorial
service will be held on Friday, June 5,
at 1 p.m. at the Oak Park Community

Army veteran, Mr.
Markzon worked
for 36 years for Ford
Markzon
Motor Company as a
firmer. He was an active member of B'nai
B'rith softball league and bowling league.
