Free Loans Available For
Medical, Dental Students
Hebrew Free Loan is offering
loans through the Dr. Alden M.
and Lorraine Leib Medical/Dental
Education Fund. The Leibs estab-
lished their fund with a donation that
makes scholarships available to Jewish
students pursuing a medical or dental
education or specialty in Michigan.
The Leibs feel strongly that estab-
lishing this important fund at Hebrew
Free Loan gives Jewish students an
opportunity to lessen their debt bur-
den when pursuing a medical or den-
tal degree, with the added potential
benefit of keeping those students in
Michigan when their studies end and
their professional practices begin.
The fund operates under the
umbrella of the William Davidson
Jewish College Loan Program admin-
istered by Hebrew Free Loan, using
the existing online application and
using the same parameters for bor-
rowers.
The fund is open for applications
through May 15. A second round of
applications and funding is available
July 1-15. An application and infor-
mation are available at www.
