DR. MYRON
GINSBERG, 71, of
Farmington Hills, died
April 10, 2015.
He was born May 3,
1943, in Brockton, Mass.,
to Frank and Evelyn
(Spekin) Ginsberg. He
Ginsberg
earned a B.A. in math
at Boston University in
1965, a M.A. in math at
Clark University in 1967 and a Ph.D. in
computer science at the University of Iowa
in 1972.
Dr. Ginsberg was an associate professor
of computer science at Southern Methodist
University in Dallas, Texas, a staff research
scientist for General Motors Research
Laboratories, GM Technical Center in
Warren, Mich., and was a national and
international lecturer for six professional
organizations for math and computer soci-
eties (ACM, SIAM, IEEE, SIGMA XI, SAE,
ASME).
For research and application of super-
computing to the automotive industry,
he was a Fellow of ACM (Association of
Computer Machinery) in 1995 and a life
fellow of IEEE (Institute of Electrical and
Electronic Engineers Inc.) in 2009.
He is survived by his beloved wife,
Judith Rosenbaum Ginsberg; daughter
and son-in-law, Ellen and Bryan Hochberg
of Farmington Hills; grandchildren,
Andrea Rose Hochberg and Marissa Carly
Hochberg; brother-in-law and sister-in-
law, Dr. Alan and Maxine Rosenbaum
of West Bloomfield; many loving nieces,
nephews, other family members and
friends.
