School in Farmington Hills. For her
mitzvah project, she volunteered at the
Friendship Circle in West Bloomfield,
working with children who have spe-

Michelle Serlin is a 1980
graduate of Oak Park High
School. Troy Zukowski is a native of Battle Creek.
Michelle is the daughter of Alan Serlin and Bonnie Serlin of Albuquerque,
N.M., and Suzanne Resnick and Albert Resnick of Farmington Hills. Troy is the
son of the late Aloysius Zukowski and late Virginia Zukowski.
Troy received a bachelor of science in religion in 1985 and a master's of social
work in 1987 from Western Michigan University. Michelle received a bachelor of
science in political science and communications in 1985 and a master's of social
work in 1989 from Western Michigan University.
The couple reside in Portage, Mich., and are co-owners of Choices for
Change Counseling Agency as well as being licensed clinical social workers in
Kalamazoo.

r. and Mrs. Joshua Leopold of Farmington Hills announce the
engagement of their son Brandon Leopold to Lauren Winkles,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Winkles of Livonia.
Ms. Winkles received an associate's degree in gerontology from Madonna
University in Livonia. She is employed at Community and Home Supports.
Mr. Leopold received a bachelor's degree in broadcast and cinematic arts from
Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, as well as a degree in radio, video
and film at the Specs Howard School of Media Arts. He is employed at Domino's
Pizza.
The wedding is planned for June 28 at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield.
