Following a successful response to
the initial exclusive product offering,
it was decided to expand distribution

Glass was then brought on to lead the
day-to-day efforts of the newly formed

f the leadership team behind
InstaBOOST Energy — a new,
energy supplement — seems more
at ease with one another than most sets
of executive partners, that's because
they spend as much time together out-
side the boardroom as they do in it.
InstaBOOST Energy president David
Paull and vice president Nick Welham
are brothers-in-law; Welham has been
married to Paull's sister, Lainie, since
2001. And Jason Glass, the company's
chief operating officer, is Paull's best
friend of more than 20 years.
"We're a team in the truest sense of
the word:' Paull says. "We are not just
business partners; we're family ... liter-
ally and figuratively. There's nothing
any one of us wouldn't do to help the
others succeed:
This fall, the three launched
InstaBOOST Energy, an energy supple-
ment in the form of dissolvable crystals
that create a popping sensation as they
dissolve in your mouth; there are no
pills, mixing or water required.
The supplement is marketed as a
healthier alternative to some of its com-
petitors in the energy product market.
Each serving features vitamin B12,
plant-based quercetin and caffeine —
about the same amount as found in a
cup of coffee — providing a boost of
energy naturally, while also serving as a
good source of antioxidants.

Each packet is only 15 calories and
contains no artificial flavors or sweet-
eners. Currently, InstaBOOST Energy
is available in two flavors, raspberry-
lemon and orange-berry, with new
offerings in the works.

To The Masses

Paull, Welham and Glass brokered
their first major retail agreement this
summer, and now their product can
be found at more than 200 Meijer
supercenters in five states across the
Midwest (a single serving packet retails
for $2.99), and nationwide on Amazon.
com and Instaboost.com .
"The opportunity with Meijer is a big
win for us:' Glass says. "We were con-
fident from the beginning that we had
a winning product on our hands, but
to have the official vote of confidence
from a prominent regional retailer like
Meijer is exactly what InstaBOOST
Energy needed to make some noise in
the market."
In addition to the more than 200
Meijer stores now stocking InstaBOOST
Energy, additional retailers carrying the
product, including convenience stores
and specialty markets locally, are being
added regularly and are updated on the
company's website.

In The Beginning

Although new to the mass consumer
market, InstaBOOST Energy actually
first debuted approximately two years
ago, but until now has been sold exclu-

All family men, Paull, 39, Welham, 41,
and Glass, 39, split their time between
corporate and fatherly pursuits.
Just this year, Paull, who was raised
attending Temple Israel in West
Bloomfield and as a teen served as the
congregation's youth group president,
welcomed his first child, daughter
Riley, with wife, Nicole.
In addition to helming two corpora-
tions and raising an infant, Paull also
serves on the board of directors of the
Michigan Chapter of the Crohn's and
Colitis Foundation of America. When
time permits, he is an avid golfer and
sports fan. A lifelong Michigander and
devout Spartan, Paull and his family
reside in Farmington Hills.
Welham, who is not Jewish but is
raising his children, Charlie and Eva,
with Lainie in the religion, is a native
of London, England. Welham is a
member of the Nephrology Family
Advisory Committee for Children's
Hospital of Michigan and has pre-
sented on the topic of the parental
perspective of managing cure during
treatment.
He also provides pro bono IT
support to Family Connections of
Michigan, a nonprofit organization
co-founded by Lainie, which provides
educational and therapeutic support
for parents and families of special
needs children. When not working or
volunteering, Welham, who lives with
his family in Bloomfield Township,
enjoys martial arts and brewing beer.
Prior to the new career opportu-
nity with InstaBOOST Energy, Glass
worked as a partner and director of
sales for a Farmington Hills-based
residential mortgage company. He and
his wife, Mychal, of West Bloomfield,
are parents to sons Logan and Ryan
(both of whom attend Hillel's Early
Childhood Center), and are active
members of Congregation B'nai
Moshe in West Bloomfield. ❑
