on relevant details, including the
number of on-call servers an event
might require.
Annabel is more focused on
business details now than cooking.
Still, she goes to almost every party,
night and day, because hers is the
face clients most want to see.
"They want me to tie everything
up in a bow:' she said cheerfully.
Leading the experienced
ACCD kitchen is Head Chef Dave
Hubbard, formerly with Slows Bar
BQ, Townsend Hotel and Kingsley
Inn. Other essential employees are
Chefs Brian Kessler and Ashley
Nathan, Pizza Chef Joel Freeman
and Pastry Chef Julie Hack
Hubbard. Sandy Smythe is office
manager.
ACCD specializes in "cooking
fresh foods with delicious global
flavors that are prepared by people
who are passionate about good
cooking and eating:' according to
the company website, also created
by Disner.
"We cater to your every food
and entertaining fancy or whim:'
Annabel said, from bagels and lox
repasts to sumptuous buffets and
more.
Meals are presented "beautifully
and artistically:' she said. "After all,
everybody eats. And they eat first
with their eyes:'
Having already outgrown the
kitchen for catering, Annabel
plans to move her headquarters to
a bigger location in Farmington
Hills. Her shop in Sylvan Lake will
become a carryout establishment
offering salads, paninis and artisan
pizzas.
Annabel is excited about having
huge, rotating ovens built into the
walls. Guests will order pizza with
a crispy charred crust, or not. If
desired, the pizza maker will don a
welder's mask to put on the finish-
ing touch.
"We'll be asking: 'torched or not
torched:" Annabel said. ❑
