An Important Message from Nate Goldberg and Family,
This year, we celebrate the "Double Chai" anniversary of the Goldberg
Thanksgiving Distribution. As I reflect on 36 years of Thanksgivings, I'm
amazed at the impact this program has had.
Over the years, my family and I have watched in awe as the community
has rallied around families in need each Thanksgiving. My sister started
the program in 1979 to honor my parents, Harry and Jeanette Goldberg,
who strongly believed that no family should go hungry. Each year, more
and more friends have joined our family in building the program into
what it is today.
Last year, we provided baskets of healthy kosher foods to more than
120 households. The recipients are homebound older adults, community
members with disabilities, and other families assisted by Jewish Family
Service.
No family should go hungry, especially not on Thanksgiving.
Thank you for your support!

nesses and creating innovative public-
private partnerships will become
the next national director of the
Anti-Defamation
League (ADL) when
longtime director
Abraham Foxman
retires July 20, 2015.
The decision of
the 16-member suc-

Jonathan
the culmination of

a two-year national
search.
A social entrepreneur with extensive
experience in the public and private
sectors, Greenblatt has served as
special assistant to the president and
director of the White House Office of
Social Innovation & Civic Participation
since 2011. In this role, he has directed
the administration's strategies on
national service, civic engagement,
social finance and impact investing.
A graduate of Tufts University and
the Kellogg School of Management
at Northwestern University, he is the
grandson of a Holocaust survivor who
escaped from Nazi Germany. He has
had a lifelong commitment to Jewish
social causes. His relationship to ADL
started with a college internship and
continued with his participation in an
ADL professional leadership program.
His selection was announced Nov. 6
in Los Angeles, where more than 300
leaders from across the country are-
were gathered for ADLs 2014 annual
meeting.
"Jonathan brings to ADL an impres-
sive track record of leadership in both
the nonprofit and for-profit sectors
and a deep and abiding commitment
to our mission of combating anti-Sem-
itism and defending the civil rights of
all people said Barry Curtiss-Lusher,
ADL national chair and chair of the
succession committee.
"I'm confident that ADL will contin-
ue to thrive and grow under Jonathan's
leadership, and I look forward to work-
ing with him to ensure a successful and
smooth transition," Foxman said.

corporate experience will serve as the
foundation of his leading the Anti-
Defamation League to new heights:'
said Heidi Budaj, director, ADL
Michigan Region.
The succession committee, includ-
ing Foxman and prominent lay lead-
ers, unanimously selected Greenblatt
based on his impressive track record of
building innovative brands, mission-
driven businesses and cross-sector
coalitions, as well as his deep interest
in and commitment to issues includ-
ing anti-Semitism, religious freedom,
civil rights, Israel and the safety of the
Jewish people.
"I am deeply honored to have been
chosen to lead this vital organization
as it begins its next century of service
Greenblatt said. "Since its inception,
ADL has had a tremendous impact
on making America a more inclusive
society for all people while defending
the rights of Jews to freely practice
their faith and be full participants in
society. I am incredibly excited by the
opportunity of building on those great
successes:'
At the White House, he has served
on the Domestic Policy Council, pro-
viding leadership to the $1 billion
Corporation for National Community
Service and helping to direct large-
scale national service programs such
as AmeriCorps. Greenblatt also man-
aged complex, decentralized business-
es and nonprofit operations. In 2002,
he co-founded Ethos Brands, the busi-
ness that launched Ethos Water, the
premium bottled water that donates
a portion of its profits to fund clean
water programs around the world.
He then served as CEO of GOOD
Worldwide Inc., an innovative media
company that directly connected its
subscribers to important causes and
high-impact nonprofits. In 2009, he
founded All for Good, a social enter-
prise that assembled one of the largest
databases of volunteer opportunities
on the Internet. It was acquired in
2011 by Points of Light, the nonprofit
founded by President George H.W.
Bush and that manages the largest net-
work of volunteer centers in the U.S.
He is married to Marjan Keypour
Greenblatt, an Iranian-American
Jewish immigrant, who worked as an
associate director in ADUs Los Angeles
office for nearly eight years. They have
three children.
