Daniel Jacob Glasser
will be called to the
Torah as a bar mitz-
vah on Saturday, Oct.
18, at Temple Israel
in West Bloomfield.
He will be joined by
his
proud parents,
Glasser
Eden and Ivan
Glasser, along with
his brother, Brandon. Daniel is the
grandchild of Nickie Glasser, Lynda
and Allen Glasser, Jane and the late
Allen Gross. His great-grandmothers
are Shirley Lezell and Gloria Simi.
Daniel is a student at O.E. Dunckel
Middle School in Farmington Hills.
As part of his mitzvah experience,
he delivered Christmas presents in
Detroit for Jimmy's Kids, which he
found to be very meaningful.

will celebrate her bat
mitzvah as she is
called to the Torah on
Saturday, Oct. 18, at
Temple Beth El in
Lutz
Bloomfield Township.
Joining in her cele-
bration will be her siblings Carter and
Brody. Her proud grandparents are
Linda and Eric Lutz, and Kay and
Allan Freedman.
Danielle is a student at Berkshire
Middle School in Birmingham. As part
of her mitzvah project, she reached out
to family and friends to collect towels
to donate to Humble Design for fami-
lies who are relocating from homeless
or abuse shelters with next to nothing
of their own.

Hills. For his mitzvah experience, he
volunteered at and donated tzedekah
to Michigan Animal Rescue League
to help find animals new and caring
homes.

son of Anne and Gary
Lask, will lead the
congregation in prayer
on Saturday, Oct. 18,
at Temple Israel in
West Bloom-
field. Sharing in his
Lask
celebration will be his
sisters Brittany and
Aimelia Lask and proud grandparents
Glenda and Robert Lask. Aaron is also
the grandson of the late Paul and
Elizabeth Kleinschmidt.
Aaron is a student at Scranton
Middle School in Brighton. Among his
mitzvah experiences, he found his most
meaningful to be volunteering at a local
veterinarian hospital, walking dogs.

arold Etkin of West Bloomfield
announces the engagement of his
daughter Allison Brooke, also the
daughter of the late Judith Etkin, to Philip
Berens, son of Joseph Berens and the late
Desiree Berens of Southgate.
Allison and Philip met while attending

Michigan State University.
Allison graduated from MSU with a B.A.
in business administration and communi-
cations. She went on to earn her J.D. from
Loyola Law School of Los Angeles. She is an
associate attorney at Wood, Smith, Henning
and Berman.
Philip graduated from MSU with a B.A. in political science/prelaw and went
on to earn his J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law. He works as
an associate attorney for Cozen O'Connor.
The couple reside in Los Angeles and are eagerly awaiting their December
2014 wedding in West Bloomfield.
