I i arold Etkin of West Bloomfield announces the engagement of his daughter Allison Brooke, also the daughter of the late Judith Etkin, to Philip Berens, son of Joseph Berens and the late Desiree Berens of Southgate. Allison and Philip met while attending 4\ * Michigan State University. Allison graduated from MSU with a B.A. in business administration and communi- cations. She went on to earn her J.D. from Loyola Law School of Los Angeles. She is an associate attorney at Wood, Smith, Henning and Berman. Philip graduated from MSU with a B.A. in political science/prelaw and went on to earn his J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law. He works as an associate attorney for Cozen O'Connor. The couple reside in Los Angeles and are eagerly awaiting their December 2014 wedding in West Bloomfield.
