r. Michael and Kathy Laffer are
thrilled to announce the engage-
ment of their son Dr. Matthew
Snyder Laffer to Brittany Mica Allan, daugh-
ter of Dr. Brent and Debbie Allan of Paradise
Valley, Ariz.
Matthew is a graduate of the University
of Michigan, of Michigan State University
College of Osteopathic Medicine and is a
dermatology resident at Oakwood Hospital-
Southshore.
Brittany is a graduate of the University of
Michigan with a bachelor's degree in English
language and literature and is the communi-
cations manager at Ignite Social Media in Birmingham.
A November wedding is planned in Scottsdale, Ariz.

andy and Jeffrey Weiss are thrilled
to announce the engagement of their
son Dr. Aaron Weiss to Dr. Kiran
Valiani, daughter of Dr. Shirin Valiani and
the late Amir Ali Valiani.
Kiran is a graduate of John Hopkins
University and Emory University Medical
School. She is chief resident in internal med-
icine at Emory University Hospital Midtown.
Aaron is a graduate of the University of
Michigan and Emory University Medical
School. He is a fourth-year urology resident
at Emory University Medical Center. Aaron
is the grandson of Eva Weiss.
An August 2014 wedding is planned in Atlanta, Ga.

Rosenfeld-Actis

S

eth Rosenfeld and Diego Actis were
married recently in Buenos Aires,
Argentina. The wedding ceremony
was performed by Rabbi Diego Elman of
the Templo Libertad, Buenos Aires at the
Estancia Carabassa.
The couple and their families hosted
a wedding celebration at the Yacht Club
Puerto Madero.
Seth Rosenfeld of Bloomfield Hills is a
senior vice president in equity research at
Jefferies, covering the European Metals &
Mining sector. He is the son of Dr. Raymond
A. Rosenfeld and Janelle McCammon of
Bloomfield Hills.
Diego Actis of Rosario, Argentina, is an associate in fixed income structuring
at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
The couple are based in London, where they have lived for the past three
years.
