ruce and Judy Gorman of Livonia,
and Alex and Vicki Berman of West
Bloomfield are thrilled to announce
the engagement of their children Amanda
Blair Gorman and Adam Scott Berman.
Amanda earned her B.A. in Spanish and
secondary education at Michigan State
University and her M.A. in school and com-
munity counseling from Eastern Michigan
University. She is a middle school Spanish
teacher in South Lyon.
Adam earned his B.A. from the University
of Michigan and received his law degree
from Wayne State University. He is an attor-
ney with his own practice in Utica.
Amanda is the granddaughter of Saul Gross, the late Shirley Gross and the late
Pearl Gorman. Adam is the grandson of Joseph and Rena Berman, and the late
Morris and Ida Jerris.
An October wedding is planned in Novi.

Golenberg are thrilled to announce
their engagement. Jessica is the
daughter of Marcia Jahn of Troy and William
Bommarito of Warren. Dr. Golenberg is the
son of Zipora and Dr. Edward Golenberg of
Farmington Hills.
Jessica received her bachelor's degree
from Oakland University and master of arts
degree in educational technology from the
University of Michigan Flint Global Program
in Geneva, Switzerland. She teaches middle
school language arts at Boulder Country Day
School in Boulder, Colo.
Lavie graduated from Michigan State University and received his Ph.D. in
human factors engineering from Wayne State University. He is a senior human
factors engineer at Medtronic in Louisville, Colo.
Jessica and Lavie met in 2010 at a ComePlayDetroit kickball game. The
couple reside in Broomfield, Colo., and are planning a Labor Day wedding at
Congregation B'nai Moshe in West Bloomfield.
