JOHN DAVID
MEYER, 62, of Troy,
died June 29, 2014.
He is survived
by his daughter,
Julie Meyer of
Los Angeles; son,
Michael Meyer of
Meyer
Los Angeles; brother
and sister-in-law, Paul and Marilyn
Meyer of West Bloomfield; sister, Jane
Meyer of Miami, Fla.; mother, Loraine
Meyer; many other loving family
members and friends.
Mr. Meyer was the son of the late
Martin Meyer and the late Gloria Ruth
Meyer.
Contributions may be made to
Temple Israel or to a charity of one's
choice. Interment took place at Adat
Shalom Memorial Park in Livonia.
Arrangements by Dorfman Chapel.

RUTH MILLER, 91,
of West Bloomfield,
died June 22, 2014.
She was active in
several Jewish orga-
nizations, serving
as Greater Detroit
Council President
Miller
and a national
c. 1967
board member of
Na'amat USA. She was also active in
support of Israel Bonds and received
the organization's Lion of Judah award
in 1983.
Mrs. Miller initially pursued a theat-
rical career and subsequently became
a frequent speaker and narrator at
Detroit-area Jewish events, appearing
numerous times on local TV and radio
programs to enthusiastic reviews.
Later in life, her attention focused
more on her family: her husband,
Ralph Miller; her brothers, Philmore
and Norman; her three children, Alan,
Sheri, and Gordon; their spouses,
Susan O'Hara, Dr. Robert Slater, and
Jackie Miller; her grandchildren,
Joanna, Nicole, Daniel, and Justin.
She is also survived by a sister, Betty
Singer; a sister-in-law, Judy Leemon;
a brother-in-law, Martin Miller; and
many cousins, nephews and nieces.
